Hello!

We breed and raise outstanding AKC Standard Poodles and a variety of Doodles on our little hobby farm in the tiny village of Camden, Michigan. Ours is a fairly small breeding program, and we prefer it that way. All of our dogs live in our home (or with family members) and are, first and foremost, beloved pets.

We believe that dogs make life better. They teach us to be open-hearted and affectionate with those we love, to live in the moment, and to appreciate the simple, sweet things that bring us comfort and happiness.

Our specialty is creating pups in a wide variety of colors and markings. That means we breed some really beautiful dogs - however, we never forget that good looks and flashy coats are secondary to great health and temperament. All of our dams (momma dogs) and sires (daddy dogs) are health-screened via DNA testing and must pass rigorous tests for personality and intelligence.

From the day our pups are born, we use the Puppy Culture protocol. This system and philosophy helps pups become confident and resilient, and helps them grow up to be truly great companions. We highly recommend that new puppy owners continue with Puppy Culture - because it results in fantastic dogs.

In addition to Honeystone Doodles & Poodles, Charlotte owns and operates the local gastro pub and Bruce has a home renovation company. Luckily, we have family members who help us in a million ways. We invite you to look around our site, and reach out to us if you have any questions.

One More IMPORTANT thing: While we are proud of our program and the dogs we breed, we are also big supporters of pet adoption. There are so many great dogs, especially older ones, in rescues and shelters. Sure, puppies are cute - but, in many situations, an older dog is a great fit. If your circumstances make adoption an option, we encourage you to DO IT! We have a couple of our own little rescue dogs, and they are just as precious and important as our doodles and poodles.
